Borrowed IDENTITY

Touched and moved by the many issues people deal with in life, I became inspired to start blogging, not for the fun of it, nor the fame attached to blogging, but with the hope that somehow my writings may speak to the very soul of someone who still struggle with issues that s/he would rather prefer remain private. I do not consider myself to be well learned in helping people overcome their struggles, but as a young guy who still struggle with a whole lot of things, I understand that we all are on a journey, and while our journey may seem rough and filled with bumps and roadblock, we should have our eyes still fixed on where we are headed.

I believe that the majority of my readers are youths- youths struggling with identity crisis. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. Stuck in a crossroad, some end up taking the wrong path and they spend their lives journeying having lost direction. I have seen many young people who along the way dropped who “they are” and picked up what they thought they “should be.”

Actually, I think every human at some point in their lives will have to face this struggle- the constant struggle to find who they are. To pretend that there are not imperfections in the garments of our identities is to imply that we are synthetic.  I think people long to be genuine and to know that the imperfections they experience only add luster and help them discover who they really are. For those of you who are battling with your identity and are asking questions such as: Who am I? Why am I here? This piece is for you. Self discovery is a vital part of human development.

“Who are you?” is one question life will keep asking you, and until you can come to terms with who you really are, you may never be able to fulfill your God given destiny. I’m not talking about what society has made you believe about YOU, or what family members and friends call you. No! I’m talking about the real YOU- Your real identity. So many people are afraid to do this internal audit on themselves for fear of what they will find.

If you are to know your identity, then you must become a student of yourself. You must allow yourself to be in process and not completion. You must allow yourself to be travelling and not arriving, to know you have weaknesses and flaws, and to allow for those times when you fall. You must stop feeling guilty for being human.

Your imperfections add to your own beauty, wisdom, and ability to birth the greatness of your true purpose and identity. If we don’t risk and fail, don’t fall and get up, don’t hurt and holler, then we are pretending that we were created perfect to start with- as if we’ve known all along who we are, what to do  and how to do it. And that’s simply not true. It’s not true because we are human beings, not perfect beings.

Just in case you are still living on borrowed identity, it is time to pay off your debt, and run after YOU.  However you must know that you can’t find YOU until you’ve found Him- Your creator. Who are you?

clicks. One of my favorite ones is where the thanksgiving turkey
is hiding from a guy, who apparently wants to get him in the oven,
by placing a lampshade on his head and standing on a dresser
so he looks like a lamp. Many people prefer the link baiting to increasing the profit in the online marketing field.
